Pro.Fit International Vehicle
Specific Mounting Brackets G3 or VSM's, are designed to attach behind the dash
trim, providing a clean and professional installation. Most attach to
existing hardware that is hidden behind the trim. At times we strengthen the
installation by adding hardware. This is positioned in a safe location and
should never be visible when properly installed.
Most installations require that
trim bezel be removed from the dash in order access hidden hardware. We
recommend using a Dash Trim Removal Tool or Hook Tool to remove bezels.
A special tool is necessary to protect the vehicle's dash from scratches and
punctures that can occur by using a household tool like a screwdriver.
Also, many
vehicles require special tools to safely remove the radio. Currently these
include: Audi, Ford, Mazda, Mercedes and Mercury. The product description
for the part you order will let you know if a radio removal tool is
required.
